Words Speak to hearts…

Expression Finding Place
Let The Words Speak…expression finding place

Let the words speak,
like the glimmering patterns of light
through water on a sandy shoal,
like the glistening morning dew upon a leaf,
as if a tiny fae lantern held to greet the morn,
diaphanous wings hovering,
a smile enduring.

Let the words speak,
like a lilting warm spring breeze,
dusting the gloaming light,
when slumber entreats the night to be,
like a siren melody, drifting,
a call to hearts in soft incandescent rhyme,
in time’s sweet symphony.

Let the words speak,
as hearts open tell stories sublime,
of love and times of old,
when life a treasure of resounding hope
within life’s broad scope,
told of courage and valor and chivalrous deeds,
of endings in love eternal.

Let the words speak,
ignite those passions of wandering minds,
seeking afferent thoughts
of place and purpose in infinite time,
and enlightenment a beacon of promise
that we may strive to better who we are
and discover our potential.

Let the words speak,
go beyond our imaginations,
to fathom possibility
and in discovery uplift our kind,
as in compassion and kindness find,
that we are all as one,
in life’s sweet rhythm.

Let the words speak…

So pleased you appreciated it Phyllis. I actually wrote the title as a possible title for the poetry anthology…’Let the Words Speak’. Then had to write a poem about it. You can still use it if you want. Not sure what kind of title or book concept you guys are interested in. Cheers!

I like that for the poetry book title, Tony. I will check with John on the book concept. He and Jamie did mention a hard copy print book. I was thinking to sort poems by category (Romantic Verse, Inspirational, etc.). Have a blank page on left (last poem of a section and blank on other side), title of the section on right page, then the poems in that category. I think that would make a nice clean presentation. Jamie or John mentioned having Bio s of authors in back of book. I will post in the forum thread to get better ideas of what John would like, and also suggest the title ‘Let The Words Speak’. Thanks, Tony.

Tony, where we thinking about making this an introduction poem with the title and all or shall we just let the reader find this poem when they get to your poetry. I can see either way. Jamie

I have brought it to the first poem in my offerings for that reason, I see no necessity to highlight it further. Its just when I wrote it I thought it an apt title for the book. If you’re all fine with that; I don’t what to appear more highlighted that any of our poets. Cheers!
