Knowing Answers…voices in debate

In the solitude of my muttering,
my solicitous bleating of questions,
I, in the echo of this my own inner voice,
hear voices, like wafting rhetoric
to appease my incessant pleas.

I listen and consider their unknown voices,
as they in part address my concerns,
refer, then answer my questions asked,
and I cannot just accept their take,
as who so speaks in my solitude, other than me
cannot be trusted, surely.

For what purpose do they speak,
drive my curiosity wild,
to regard their solutions as worthy, crazy,
in this my sanctum, my inner silence,
now resounding back at me.

I feel a spilt personality,
others within contesting attention,
as my mind reels, none to sturdy,
listening to a plethora of answers,
perceptions and points I have no yet perused.

Isn’t this serene quiet, supposed to be quiet,
and mine a crowed house of opinions,
all at me to believe, to accept their better way,
and me, just the one who spilt words from lips,
in the arena of thought.

My solitude is a travesty,
my thoughts a parliament of debate,
and I too stupid to remain silent, ask questions
that in life I may never sate,
may never truly know the answers.

In your sanctum, your inner silence there is one voice that will give you the truth and you will know it, you will feel it, for it is your own. It will come through. Boy! do I understand this cacophony that can intrude upon my inner silence. I just keep going deeper till I feel the truths. You expressed these thoughts so well, Tony.
