Me and My Boys
Boys of Mine
We will run forever free you and I
in the wind and rain and storm
we will lay in the sun on grassy knolls dozing
where the sun shines warm
Or we’ll stroll the well worn trails around our home
the fields and woods next door
we will run on into the eternities
until there is a time no more
We will share our meals and play again
or lay as still as the stone
remember though our time together as one
whenever you are alone
Though we cannot stay together here
we will meet again my love
My boys and I are one and the same
and we will be as well above

Such an endearing sentiment, Ed. They are family, aren’t they? Very nicely penned verse, I love it.
Beautifully written, Ed. I can’t imagine life without my dogs. They are part of the family.
Lovely sentiment Ed, and we have such profound connections with our furry friends, always in our heart. Cheers!
I know where you’re coming from, Ed. You pulled me right in.
So sweet and endearing.
