The Devil’s Spawn

The spawn of evil…

The Devil's Spawn
The Devil’s Spawn…evil innate

Hell hath no fury like the devil’s spawn,
and his spawn are many,
the tipped scales between good and evil,
solidly tipped to the darkness
born within.

There is no easing of the state
of minds born into fate,
their capability sewn,
their compassion a sin of who they are,
lost before the light can even shine.

No whispered words of truth,
no kindness shown can deter this mind,
from the dark and evil ways akin,
to all that love deserts as self-alignment,
a choice once made and resounding.

Deeds precede their knowing,
their darker taste for life’s pleasured sins,
attest the evil seed within,
and nothing can convince them clean,
their tainted hearts already dreamed in want.

Their fury just below the surface, waits,
unleashed by crossing will and contention’s fate,
and soon we see that demon found,
flesh just clothing over fire,
and hell hath no fury as this,
a demon on earth, a hurtful bliss.

There seems to be many such demons running loose in the world. No convincing them to change their ways. Great phrases and well-penned, Tony.

True evil has no conscience, Tony, so nothing we can say or do will change the intent of those who are inspired to do deliberately do the Devil’s acts. A well written but troubling poem.

Thanks John, and I agree, those people are to be avoided in life; they will always be there and can create so much pain and strife. Cheers
