Let’s Smile …
Let’s smile at one another,
as we count the stars at night.
These nights of magic –
when fireflies light the sky.
The moon seems to be sailing,
across the heavens
and shines so brightly upon us.
These nights when flowers surround us
and everything that’s ordinary –
becomes a fantasy.
We can share the love between us,
the joy and even the sorrow.
As long as warmth fills our hearts and souls
and our feet feel like dancing.
It’s tender words and loving glances –
that make it all worthwhile.
Long moonlit walks,
beneath a bright, shiny moon –
that end in lover’s meetings.
Holding hands while hearts are beating,
sharing kisses –
that will be remembered a whole life long,
filling the heart with a love song.
Let’s smile at one another,
so that when autumn comes round –
we can treasure these starry nights,
when things seemed so right.
Never forgetting the warmth filling our souls,
sending brightness into our hearts.
It will melt away the cold,
when the autumn winds begin to blow.
Let’s smile at one another,
let’s be happy for these nights –
when warm breezes blow all about
and light and shadow come out to play.
When it’s just so simple,
to be together,
to watch the show –
performed by the moon, the stars, and the clouds above.
Let’s enjoy these wonderful summer nights.
