Awakened Heart

Awakened Heart

awakened

Here I sit at the feet of the Deity, the one who is centered in Peace;

A Zen mind… unperturbed; ignorant of left and right…

O’ Surabhi, incessant… incessant… are the sweet whispers;

The glory of the morning dawn, the whiteness of the dove,

The fresh scent of damped soil, the old tremulous leaves,

The ambience of transparent clouds, the soft luscious wind…

Lo! The golden glow holds the sky, giving birth to a new morning,

A morning where the delicate sunbeams caress the Indian land,

Where the glimmering pearls grow in the depths of my Heart,

Where the singularity of ‘I’ is replaced by the plurality –

The plurality of Oneness.

Rose alone is not a rose without its aroma.

Yes, the sweet whispers of the fragrant nature are not seen,

They are sensed when the Heart becomes awake.
