There was once a girl named Scarlet
Whose smile said it all When the winds blew and the Sun s
 hinedShe was like a dew drop on a resplendent leaf She gave me the wings to fly Otherwise I was just a mortal being When she came my heart pounded With joy and resurrection from my sleep She would often say she loved me And that would add a lease of life unto me I am helter skelter when she is gone Reminding me of how she organized my life My heart still misses a beat when she is not there But then I am reminded of her words To promise never to be alone And shine like twinkling stars in the sky And that’s what she taught me and made me believe There was once a girl named Scarlet And she loved me so much that she let me be Today when I look back and listen I hear her words whisper out to me Look my dear! You have to be on your own Cause that’s how true love is meant to be I gave you the wings so you can explore and be free There was once a girl named Scarlet Who set me free! |
Tarun is an observer of sorts. While the world is at play, he leisurely enjoys the role of a mere spectator.
