Beauty, Regardless

Rain nor dull resound inhibits this soul,
for sunshine redeems the grey
and I but smile to dismiss this affray,
imbibing all that sun commends,
regardless of the bleak abyss
that seems as if, to teeter outside my pane.
Refuse do I, to let this seasons dim purpose,
soil the very thoughts that drive my day,
those afferent words that steal the page
and bring beauty to mind and soul,
freedom thoughts to contiguous whole
with the comfort of expression made.
Instead I shall envision blue
the gradients of every hue adorned by joyful cloud,
and sunlight strewn to release the shadows sigh,
and find life through every eye,
to draw aspirations true,
and breath crisp the chilled and refreshing air.
No, dim the day may be,
shall not disrupt my souls foray,
to paint the colours of life and song with words,
and forge pathways through storm and dark reproach,
to follow the hearts will in loves approach,
with beauty’s banner flying high.
