Life’s Flow

From the serene eyes of understanding,
life flows in unrestrained undulations,
a cascade of intentions and reality,
and its seamless flow is endless,
regardless of our strife and contentious thoughts.

Life never questions is own movement,
tis we in our confusion and panic
that create the obstacles of our forward steps,
while life itself flows unencumbered,
as we in our personal maelstroms, suffer.

These walls of contention are self-created,
forged from the necessities of learning,
from the imbalances we ourselves cause,
when our choices flow against the tides of life,
and we in our ignorance, suffer the consequences.

Life is never vindictive, never pointed in its changes,
just responding to our rash and often malicious intentions,
recompense the serving of balance rather than any penalty,
and whosoever blames is in neglect
of their own nurturing soul.

We create in our thoughts and actions,
express ourselves to a neutral world,
and what returns is much to do with our real intentions,
our grasping needs and ambitions and wants
translated into paths of movement.

These paths render our life’s learning in response,
in a flow that is perfect for us,
yet it often appears to us as oppression,
and in the flow of life that is mere perception, not truth,
as life’s flow is like a gentle river, crystal clear, finding its calm ending.

With serene eyes, life looks very different,
obstacles are merely learning,
and loss and love and disappointment and success
are but moments of experience,
never definitive just the amalgamation of life.

We have so many choices and drown ourselves in decisions that are not always in our best interests. A very dear friend whom I thought was my twin soul told me many years ago to just live in the moment and follow the intended path. I found he was so right and for the most part I do live that way until I am confronted with too many choices and forget to follow my heart. You provide some good thoughts to ponder on and remember, Tony. Thank you.

Much appreciated Phyllis, life is a complex yet simple equation of being. Life itself is simple, we inherently are complex and in our confusion make life difficult. Living in the moment and learning to understand life’s flow helps with our journey. Glad you appreciated the thoughts. Take care.
